Fixadent gives you the lowdown on who CAN and CANNOT carry out paintless dent removal
As you scour through the internet you will notice lots of companies offering PDR to their customers. How do you know which ones specialise and which ones dont? Well here is a quick checklist to help you decide:-
1. Is the company a PDR ONLY based company? (smart repair, paint scuff, bodyshop, chipsaway are not)
2. Does the website clearly state they have experienced dent techinicans that work for them?
3. Does the website show pictures (that look genuine, i.e. not flashy and computer generated) with examples of before and after, remember if the before and after shot have been taken and are identical in position and background items and the lighting is exactly the same, then they are very likely to be computer altered.
4. Does the website clearly offer endless amounts of information about how proud they are of what they do?
5. Does the website offer you the option to speak to someone -now this is important……when you speak to someone they should be able to answer all your questions and queries without having to go away and speak to someone or without having to get back in touch with you. Alot of companies that claim to be a PDR sepacialist employ contracted dent technicians some such companies as bodyshops, chips away, autopaint etc…
6. MOST IMPORTANTLY – If you are offered a set price with very few questions asked about the dent, i.e. size, EXACT position, colour of car and where you are based then its very likely the company you are talking to uses outside contractors to do their work !! a genuine dent man will fluctuate his prices on the awkwardness/straightforwardness of the dent and wont use a fixed price structure.
